Meknes

Meknes is the most modest of the four Imperial Cities of Morocco, located in northern central Morocco and the sixth largest city by population in the kingdom, which makes it a different, much quieter and relaxed than Fez, Marrakech and Rabat. Meknes is surrounded by fields, with agricultural products one of the foundations of the city’s economy. Interestingly, this region produces the largest quantity of wine from Morocco. Here you can visit the souks, Place el-Hedim: Plaza el-Hedim , the Dar Jamai Museum, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the Madrasa BouInania

OUZOUD WATERFALLS:

Almost every Moroccan tourist brochure contains images of Ouzoud. The waterfalls are a 3 hour car ride away from Marrakech and are found in the middle of the Atlas Mountain range. They are falling from a height in excess of 100 meters, the falls plunge into an endless series of pools, you cannot imagine the baffling view, the landscape there is fantastic. The gorge of the Ouzoud Waterfalls is a home to families of Barbary apes and a variety of native avian species ; it is a bird watcher’s pleasure! Many visitors to Morocco don’t expect this kind of “natural experience”, so a visit to beautiful Ouzoud comes as a refreshing surprise.

OUARZAZATE (TELOUET & AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAHS):

A full day tour, we’ll take the road across the High Atlas chain through the TiziN’Tichka pass, with a majestic landscape of the high mountains and traditional Berber villages, we now see a desert panorama. In Ouarzazate, visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Taourirt Kasbah. Ait Ben Haddou is UNESCO protected 11th century site that inspired many movie makers, Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia was filmed there. The views from the upper heights are awe inspiring and worth the required climb of narrow winding streets.

Mountain trek: to Ouirgan Valley

If you prefer to keep the satisfaction of the city, you have to spend a day or more in the Moroccan countryside. There we’ll see animals , forests, views and explore the culture whilst being under the guidance of professional trained and experienced team. The Berber people will be more than happy to spend some time with you while discovering their lands and their villages, they are friendly and welcoming by nature. Volubilis

Volubilis is an ancient  Roman city in Morocco situated near the city of Meknes, where archaeological remains are best preserved and most visited. The area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. It occupies 40 hectares and is located 33 kilometers north of Meknes. Although it is best to walk discovering the ruins, there are some points that you cannot miss, as the forum, the basilica and the temple of Jupiter, the baths, the Arch of Caracalla and the beautiful mosaics. Guided optional.

ATLAS MOUNTAINS:

You can reach ATLAS MOUNTAINS by travel at 9am from Marrakech towards them. Asni and surrounding Berber villages cheerful spots to get away from hot and exotic attraction of Marrakech to this cold and harsh Berber country home. You feel here with atmosphere of tiny villages, taunt hillsides, waterfalls, and lush green gardens. We stop for a rest at one of the Berber homes for a glass of mint tea, it is a delicious Moroccan tea. A panicle of villagesset in a dramatic setting of the High Atlas Mountains around the river valley Moulay Ibrahim with supreme views of the highest mountain of Morocco and North Africa Djebel Toubkal. And there is a possibility to take a short trek about 20minutes to the waterfalls in the OurikaValley if you want, the final station the Toubkal National Park. And the expected return is at about 5pm.

MARRAKECH:

Marrakech is one of the oldest imperial cities founded around 1060-1106 by the king Youssef Ibn Tachafine, it is also the empire of the Berber Dynasty Almoravides , located in the Hawz, it is look like an agricultural flat land bounded to the south and east by the High Atlas mountains,  and watered by the Tansift river, it is called the Perle of the south, it has a spellbinding view over the snow-capped, High Atlas Mountains surrounded by thousands of palms that make the view looks more attractive and also many of agriculture fields.
This empire has expanded in that time from Spain to Senegal, Marrakech was the intersection of ancient caravan roads from Timbuktu made it a key destination for trade and stall for tiring sub-Saharan traders carrying gold, salt and slaves bound for Europe.

Fes sightseeing day trip:

We’ll visit the medina in order to see the world’s oldest continuously functioning university, then have a tour in the local souk, and stop to see the oldest tannery in Africa and to taste favorite street foods and meet local artisans. This tour of Fez takes us through the intricate maze of streets of the medina. And also see the tanneries, MedersaBouaanania, Nejjarine Museum and more.

EXCURSION ESSAOUIRA:

Essaouira ,one of the most charming medinas in all of Morocco, a relaxed town set 3 hours from Marrakech, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a peaceful city once you visit, you will want to visit again and again. A day trip to Essaouria will give you much time to visit the important monuments, the old fish markets, and the seaport. The ramparts of Essaouria and the 16th century walled city offer stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean You’ll also have a chance to watch silver craftsmen and wood carvers at work.

OURIKA VALLEY:

The Ourika Valley is 30 km from Marrakech,it is a favorite weekend escape for native Moroccans, and rests between the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, it is also escape from city life, the Valley engage visitors with a prodigious atmosphere of tiny villages, steep hillsides, waterfalls, and lush green gardens this trip cannot end before make a visit to the Berber villages on the way. Ourika Valley can be visited only as half day tour instead of the full day. We have enjoy it more in the morning with return to Marrakech, after lunch or if you prefer you can depart Marrakech, enjoy the afternoon in the Ourika and then return to Marrakech after having dinner in the valley.

Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Erg Chebbi :

We can reach them after having the breakfast,by travel at 8:00 am from Riad or hotel in Merzouga or Erfoud in order to discover the desert region, we make large tour of the desert dunes and have the opportunity to see the nomad’s way of life and the amazing changing difference of the desert. After that we make a visit to the ‘black village’ of Khamliain order to see the Gnawa musicians and enjoy drinking a traditional Berber tea With them , later on, we continue to Visit Rissani for the weekly markets where nomads come to selltheir hand made goods. And we pass by the lake in Merzouga in order to see the flamingos. After having lunch with our Berber family and friends we have begunour camel trek into the beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes. we spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), and enjoy a Moroccan dinner, then sleep in traditional Nomad camel hair tent.
